As a new Villager I was really impressed to see the dedication to the veterans memorabilia. I put together an email detailing the following to info@thevillages.com and did not get a response so I am asking for some guidance. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Subject: Nello Adanti WWII memorabilia

Dear Sirs:

Could you please tell me how to forward this information to John Rohan (Recreation Director) and/or Tracy Mathews or if you could forward it I would appreciate it.

As a new Villager I was extremely impressed with the new Eisenhower Center and especially the Armed Services connection. My uncle, Nello Adanti, served in WWII and was wounded in action and received the purple heart. What is most interesting is that as an infantry man in France in 1944 he was shot by a sniper as his troop advanced. The bullet went through his back and logged in his stomach. I still have the bullet (see photos) and feel it would be and honor if you could include his artifacts at the Eisenhower center.

He past away from natural causes in 1996 but as a child growing up I always found it fascinating when he would explain the entire events around his miltary service and especially the events around his wounds as an infantryman. He was never married and had no children so I am the closest relative to pass on his legacy.
