Hello, I need to replace the battery in my watch...just retired two weeks ago, moved here and it stopped (is this a sign?). Also, the battery in our car lock/unlock/trunk thingy stopped....where can I go? Thanks.

For the watch battery, just go to the square on Market Night. There is a vendor there that sells watches. They will replace your watch battery even if you didn't buy the watch from them. They are very reasonably priced. I think it was $3.

And yes, it might be a sign that you are retired and don't need a watch anymore. LOL

Ardens Jewelers 1060 Canal Street The Villages, FL 32162 Welcome to Arden's Fine Jewelers (http://www.ardensjewelers.com)

They replace batteries and do watch repair. Right next to the theater at LSL across the street from the IZOD Store.

Most of the jewelers around here (including Ardens) charge $10 to change a watch battery. I've heard that Gold in Art in the Best Buy shopping area near Verizon and Longhorn will change batteries for free. I understand they do have a donation jar but I can't recall the charity.

I go to Walmart and they change the battery as well as sell you the new one.

Had three watch batteries changed and links taken out of a watch band for $12.00 at Marian Market. Sounds pretty fair to me.

I just had a watch battery replaced by Arden Jewelers - that cost me $25! I also asked them to polish my watch, which they didn't do. I don't recommend Arden Jewelers at Lake Sumter - poor customer service and they charge high prices.
