TOTV at Oktoberfest

Last night in chat, we decided to gather resident and newbie TOTV'ers at Lake Sumter Landing at 4:30-4:45 on Tuesday, Oct 30th. We're going to meet at Starbucks at 4:30 and make our way over to the clock tower (or wherever the web cam is pointing) so that all you TV wannabees out there can see us and watch the Oktoberfest parade.

I'll be there as well as Donna and Fumar. OK, Barefoot, Bama, RballRuss, Kahuna, Nonie, JohnZ, ZCaveman, Jan, DarbyDuff, Sandy222, and you other current TOTV residents....come on out and join the fun.

For you folks outside the Villages, tune in to the Lake Sumter live Webcam and watch us wave at 4:45...the parade will be coming around the corner soon after that. See what you're missing. :beer3: :pop: :2cool:

07 and everyone, Hello this really sounds like a great idea. Mr. & Mrs. Bama cannot make it. We were in TV last week but had to return to the real world as Mrs. Bama still has a job. By the way 07 congrats on being a villager of the day. Will be back to TV thanksgiving week.

thanks, I agree. Am very computer illiterate (among other things!!) and need to have a link to the webcam. Also would appreciate a link to the chat room. :dontknow: I think I lost it but last night I clicked on what I thought was the link, and no one was there?? To access the Web Cam : Go to the website Thevillages.com then click on Entertainment at the top, then click on Sumter Landing or Spanish Springs on the left side of the page. Then in the middle of that page there will be the web cam choice click on that. Thats it-----enjoy!

Down in the bottom right there should be a number that says 100% click on this and it will enlarge. It will not make it any better but it will make it larger. The pixalation will still distort any of the people

looks like the cam is not recording any movement. I have checked SS Square and it is ok.. so it must be SL Cam

I don't find any way to enlarge the webcam, but have another question - is there sound on this webcam? I'd love to hear the Oompah band! And while you're at it, smell the sauerkraut! :)

Too late for this outing, but next time we need a volunteer to put up a four-root red cardboard dot so we can see where the ToTV bunch is. It could even have big, white "ToTV" on it. Then we would be able to find you. ;D

tony...we tried....we had 2 poster boards with TOTV on them in large letters (and the website address at the bottom). From what Handie and others said, sounds like the camera might not have been recording movement at 4:45. We got bounced out of our spot at the clock tower by 4:50 because parade watchers yelled "down in front" as the parade started to roll by.

Present and accounted for were Villages07, Donna (with ponytail), The Great Fumar, Mom2Five, and Barefoot at Last (although she disappeared before the camera shot started).

It was fun!!!
