What is the norm, does anyone tip the guys who install the tile. We have had 2 installers here for the 4th day, they are doing a great job. My husband and I would like to give them a tip. Does anyone, and how much do you tip?

Haven't heard of anyone tipping construction workers and the like. Maybe find out what they drink and give them that or a gift card to their favorite restaurant?

I always tip the people who provide this type of service. I don't know if that is the norm, but, since they usually don't make that much by way of salary, they work so hard and their appreciation for the tip is always over the top - It just feels right.

Had two meticulous, hard working installers put a great laminate floor in our LR/DR in October. Tipped them each a $20.

I feel the same as Ms. Katie. Many home improvement workers, work for low pay and the work can be extremely hard. They really due appreciate any tip received. For me, its just the right thing to do.
