I am looking at buying this cart but I see that it has 4 12 volt batteries instead of what I am used to, 6 8 volt batteries. Is this going to be a problem with range or power? Sorry I meant RX. Not ex

Your older cart had 6 -8volt batteries with a total battery weight of approx 360 lbs.
The EZGO cart with the four twelves has a total battery weight of 288 lmbs.
Even though that is a great cart the 4 twelves will hold you back for distance. That cart has a AC system and that is more conservative too about 10 % less battery use because the motor used is 3 phase brushless motor with no sparks such as the DC carts that use more power than the AC carts.
We have converted these carts to 6 -8's with the new Trojan Battery and that makes a wold of differance with that cart.

Frank. We own a 2010 EZGO RXV with the 4/12 volt battery configuration. What would be a ballpark price to convert to the 6/8 volt system?

George,
Changing the system to Six 8 Volts with the new Trojan Rangers would involve removing the existing 12 volt batteries and trays welding in new battery trays adding a 48 volt to 12 Volt voltage reducer for the lights and accessories. Shop supplies including new wiring and adding in the two core charges, approx $1,395. Conventional T 875 Trojans $240 less.
