As I read the DS today, I noticed two ads that intrigued me.

1. Green Key Village, Lady Lake. They are building "net zero" homes which "all but eliminate the balance of your electric bill..." It shows a website - Green Key Village (http://www.greenkeyvillage.com) Every house has solar panels on the roof.

2. Villages of Parkwood. Their ad states, "Coveted rental properties available." That's a different advertising approach to selling ... buy a house to rent it.

It seems as "close to The Villages" is a big selling point for the Net Zero homes.

We may not be "net zero" but sure do enjoy being a selling point!

The models in Green Key Village are beautiful and worth the short ride. Unbelievable quality in these homes - location not so hot!

How do you find the place? There are no directions on their web page.

Is this the people who used to own Mainsail? something? They did renovations and additions? Maybe I'm wrong.

The concept and the pictures are top notch...but what is the PRICE?

We went to to see the homes in Green Tree Village and thought they were very nice. I was very impressed with the concept there.

I think I was going to work for The Villages and had young children I would love to live there. Only problem was they are only putting in the pool after a certain amount of homes are built. So that in itself to me isn't the best.
