We absolutely love the choice we made in buying in Mira Mesa. The close proximity to shopping and Spanish Springs is perfect for us. But since this is an older area it is harder to make friends with neighbors, most of who, have lived here for 5,10 or 20 years!

If any of you are newer to Mira Mesa or nearby and Baby Boomer generation [older is just fine too :)..my husband is barely legal to live here - lol] it would be fun to meet you and see if we have enough in common to start a regular block party or get together. We love cruises, are members of the Parrothead Club here and golf (hubby almost daily, me weekly).

I don't check here that often as we are very busy (grandkids live nearby and attend the Villages schools) so please give me a call on my cell 989-600-3418

I think this paragraph says it all - you are in one of the earlier neighborhoods and it is very settled, but this is a retirement community and homes are turning over all the time, this turnover of homes will bring you newer and younger residents. We are in an older community and we no longer do driveway parties and get-togethers. We all know each other and help one another, but we all have different interests and belong to different clubs and activities. Also, when the weather warms up you will see a lot more people out and about in your neighborhood. Try to relax and let it happen and it will!
