How do I get rid of squirels. We just put up a screen room and they are running all over it, we are afraid they will ruin the screens.

We have an fake hawk sitting on our barbecue near the back side of bird cage. Some people put the fake owls or hawks on the top corners. The hawk has kept them away.

I placed an owl out to keep barn swallows away and they used it as their play thing.

Fake hawks and owls are often used in an attempt to keep squirrels away. In my experience it is seldom completely effective. I have seen a hawk perched on my back fence in Tampa, and a squirrel approach within a foot of it.

There appears that there are sissy squirrels and bold squirrels.

Put a trail of nuts over to your neighbors house! Feed daily.

If you're trying to be funny -- you aren't. If you're serious -- you're sick. I hope you don't have any kids.get a live trap and drown or take out to woods

Hang some (squirrel) food under a tree that is closest to your lanai. They do eat bird seed but buy a corn hanger and corn. Walmart is probably the cheapest. Hopefully, that will keep them off your screening.

Squirrels used to love to taunt my cats. The squirrels didn't damage the screen but my kitties sure as heck did! Bigger issue than screen damage is fleas. Squirrels have 'em and fleas have been known to jump a distance, so make sure your pest control is up to date.

Wouldn't that just attract more squirrels to your yard???

Yes, it very well could attract more squirrels, however, the object is to get them away from the screening and food is always a great temptation that will hopefully work. If it doesn't, just take away the food source. I wish I could think of another solution, but I can't some up with anything.
