I went to Dr. Bono last month, had x-rays and mri.
His PA told me I need a lamenectomy and fusion.
Decided to go get 2nd opinion, the Dr. told me NO KNIFE
showed my husband & I that yes some degeneration but
not necessary to have surgery.
I have arthritis in spine and hips to do water areobics and other
exercises I can tolerate.....I will go to a pain management Dr.
to try a shot and he even suggested chiropractor.
I left his office wanting to do a Happy Dance!!
Goes to show some Dr.'s are knife happy and others
take a conservation approach.:a040:

I continue to recommend Dr. Daniel Spurrier whose a neuro-surgeon. Free 1st consultation...he won't do surgery unless it's warranted!! I've been to him for 2 different issues...the first for my cervical spine which he gave me "wise counsel" on how to deal with it so no surgery or pain doctors. His recommendations worked1

The 2nd time was for lumbar issues (I had a bulging disc that later ruptured) along with stenosis. I did have a dissectomy for the rupture which immediately took away the pain AND only 2 weeks of home recovery! He's highly regarded by ALL in the medical fields here in The Villages. His office is in the Sharon Morse Building!
