My husband and I are looking for a new dentist. We have not been too happy with the one we have now and although our hygienist is superb it is time to get someone new. I worked in dentistry for over 15 years and I know good and bad and what to expect from an office. We live in Belevedere and would like someone close by...especially want to know if these doctors have good hygienists.

My recommendation is for Dr. Kathleen Williams, or her partner, at Palm Ridge Dental. My hygienist there waited two years for someone to retire before she got a job with them. They are truly incredible dentists and their office staff are outstanding. 352-391-9930.
Palm Ridge is located at the small plaza off 101, CVS on the corner. Easy for you, straight down Belvedere, across 466, onto 101 and turn left at Palm Ridge Plaza.
You could also do a search for Dentists, there have been several threads covering most all the local dentists.

I worked in denistry for over 40 years and am very particular who I let do my work. So far no problems with Dr. Lesh at Southern Trace Dental. Staff is great. Been using him for 4 years now.

Are any of the dentists mentioned good for to "scardy cats", both my wife and I had issues with dentists in the past. Thank you in advance.

I second this recommendation. You won't find a more professional, honest, and caring dental office than this one. As for scaredy cats...I'm the worst and they were patient, caring, and most accommodating...nitrous, tv on with remote in my hand, and patience, patience, patience. I love this dental office and especially Dr. McAnly and his dental assistant, Burgandy.

I go to Dr. Jerkins in Fruitland Park. I have been dentist-phobic for years. When I developed jaw pain, a neighbor recommended his office. When he asked about my last dental checkup, I told him I was afraid of dentists and he told me he was too. Great office environment from front desk to hygienists to dentist. No upsell on services. I now see him every six months. First time in my life I have been comfortable with regular dental check ups.
His office is on 27/441 on the right side before you get to WalMart.
