THE VILLAGES BASS TOURNAMENT


Date of Tournament: March 17, 7:30AM to 10:30 AM
Awards and Banquet: March 18, La Hacienda, Rec Ctr, 6:00 PM
Anglers and Judges meeting: March 14 , 10:00 AM, La Hacienda Rec Ctr
Prizes will be awarded for the top "4 anglers", and the "Biggest Fish" caught
Look for sign up sheet 1st week in February in the Rec news section of the Daily Sun


This tournament is held in The Villages. Tournament anglers will be notified of the ponds they will be allowed to fish. ALL ponds are golf cart accessible. This tournament is open to Village residents & registered guests only. See recreation news for details available at all rec centers & the Daily Sun.

That is really cool!!! No boats, just go pond to pond? How many anglers do you get?

We've had anywhere from 60-90 participants. Each pond will have judges positioned with digital scales. Each member will have a score sheet & the judge will write down the anglers weight for each bass caught. The highest cumulative weight is the winner regardless of how many fish they catch. Also there's a big bass winner. And for you gals....lets just say that we've had a woman win 1st place & also had big bass. So there... :)

It's a great time, lots of laughs, good food, & great prizes. Come join us. Sign ups are NOW.
