Big turnout for tonights first meeting of the RDOG 3 group.Around 120 people showed up to hear how this new group of responsible dog owners are trying to get a dog park south of 466a.They presently have around 1800 signatures for the petition they are passing around. They're trying to get 3000.Sounds like they have a piece of land in mind about the size of the Mullberry parkalthough the specifics weren't disclosed. The next meeting is March 5th.

Shoot, we will be out of town for the next meeting too. Is there a contact person for the group that we could go sign the petition?

Would also like to become a member of this group. We live in Sunset Pointe, but do not belong to a RDog group yet. Would love to meet some cavalier owners as well. Love our Spencer!!

If there is a petition to be signed for a dog park south of 466 a I am all for it. For those of us not in the area at this time is there a way we can do a write in instead? Could you possibly post an address with a name if that is an option. I think it's a fantastic idea and much needed. Thanks.

I will try to get there but may not make it. Is there a mechanism to capture votes or signatures from people who are unable to get to Eisenhower tomorrow. Is it possible to set up something in the squares? Just a table with a person to man it and a signature page?

Pardon a newbie post here. I hope I'm not out of line, but is the

Responsible Dog Owners Group RDOG3 (http://rdog3.blogspot.com/)

blog site only available for the "webmaster" (or whatever the site leader would be called) to post? The site looks very good, but it appears as though it could use more activity, possible from members of the RDOG group. Just a thought. I've had simple blogs on websites before where all members could post blogs (after appropriate review of course), reply to blogs, and even form blog "teams" for various specialty topics.

Just a thought. :) Don't mean to stick my nose in where it doesn't belong! :duck:

this is an email I received ::Well we have had a wonderful few months of meetings of the RDOG3 with many more to come. We have also had a great first fund raiser with again many more to come I hope.

I wanted to fill you in on some of the plans for the next few months and to remind all of you to check in at our blog..RDOG3@blogspot.com it is a fun site and Carene is doing a great job. It is also a fun place to talk about your favorite breed of dog. Please check it out since it will also help to keep you updated on what's going on with us.

We have decided to take the month of July off from our meetings because so many families have company We will than pick up again in August with new speakers and a push to start more fund raisers and land for our park. You can always reach us if you need anything or have any suggestions for helping with speakers, baking for the meetings and fund raisers.

I hope to see as many of you as possible at the June meeting, our speaker is from Kathy from Bedtime tails boarding and daycare. We have our meetings always the FIRST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH in the Eisenhower Rec Center at 7pm.

Remember now that the weather is hot make sure our furry friends are cool and refreshed.

See you soon.
