Does anyone know if there are plans for new championship and/or executive golf courses in the new additional Fruitland Park section?

I believe I read that there would be 2 or 3 executive courses. I don't think there will be a championship course

The three execs were planned before the FP purchase. i.e. they were being built regardless of FP purchase. Nothing new except homes and rec centers in the FP new section.

There have been three execs planned in the vicinity of the Sarasota range for years. They are Sarasota (the practice area currently in use will be the second green of this course), Volusia, and Escambia. They are scheduled to open this year, late fall. The Fruitland Park addition had nothing to do with it.

A new Championship course is being built at the southern most part of Morse. I am not certain how close it will be to the Fruitland Park area. But 3 Champion courses with 27 holes each will certainly be nice for Villagers south of 466A.
Apologies a few typos now corrected.

A lot more houses coming and it doesn't appear that there will be any more executive courses in the yet to be developed portion from Hillsbotough Trail to the South. Slide over Pinellas/Collier. Here we come.

New Championship is called Belle Mede. Three Ex courses also will be built, not counting what happens in F.P.

I have a 2013 Villages map that show 3 executive courses near the Sarasota Driving Range. Where did you look that it "doesn't appear that there will be any more"?

'South' of Hillsborough Trail. It may be that much of that area can't be developed though. No idea how may homes will be built in that new area. Just hoping that one of them will be ours. :)

its really a shame they have to take away the Sarasota practice area. Many villagers use it. There are already too few areas to practice. Too bad.

I don't know if this image will be visable here or not, its kinda small. It seems to show a golf course under the power lines at the west side. I don't know if this is the whole area being discussed. Click on the attached thumbnail, then again in the picture that opens for a bigger view.

If you mean the driving range, I believe that will stay. However, I think the bunker practice area next to 466A will become part of one of the exec courses that have been on the drawing board for at least 5 years - unless these plans are changing as a result of the Fruitland Park addition.

We were told at our last meeting in January that the new championship course (27 holes) and the three execs at Sarasota are scheduled to open this fall.
The map of the Fruitland Park addition shows several exec style holes on the western boundary, but these are a significant distance from the execs at Sarasota, so I believe they are a new plan.

The map I have calls the 27 hole championship course Belle Glade with the 3 nines named:
Calusa
Tequesta
Seminole

:agree: These courses have been on the drawing board before Fruitland Park addition was purchased. Open this year---very much in doubt.
