Went outside to get my newspaper this morning at 5:30am and my car windows were covered with ice. Don't let that scare you who have not moved here yet--it will be in the 70's later today and the 80's next week. ;D
I LOVE The Villages!!!!

Hey, I just uncovered one of those scraper-brush thingamajigs among the stuff in my garage as yet unorganized. (Why did I move that down here?)
Anyway, I can send it over if you need it. I thought for a second I'd sell it in the neighborhood garage sale. But who would buy it? It's headed for the garbage bag, I'm afraid.

Ice all gone so no need for scrapper. I have to admit I have used one once in the 6 yrs I have been here. Actually I used a credit card. Keep in mind going up to 70+ today and 80 next week. YEAH!!!

I still remember the bone-chilling cold of some Minneapolis winters. There seemed to be nine foot snow drifts one year I was there when the Perfect Storm blew through (1991?)
A credit card. There was three feet of snow or so on some cars in 1991 in Minnesota. Using a credit card on that probably would have turned you into a snowman with a credit card for a nose. :joke:
If I am feeling cold in FL some day, I just check the weather in Minneapolis for the same time.

Just heard the local news. It was 30 degrees in Ocala this morning. BRRRRR......
It'll get warmer later, but I'm going out to buy a parka. Kath

Nanci, I'd say Spring for days, fall for nights. It gets real cold. I'm from Los Angeles, and I think its cold. Doesn't matter, I love it.

We played golf at 10:38AM and I thought it was going to be cool I had long pants and a long sleeve shirt on with a sweater vest. Vest was off before tee off. Wish I had worn a short sleeve shirt as the sun was very warming and comfortable there was little to no wind and not a cloud in the sky. We played Heron which is beside lake Miona so we thought it would be cool it wasn't it was great!
It is truly a beautiful day in The Villages.

I'm ignoring the frost report. A little denial can go a long way!

It is snowing up here in Maine today. Nothing staying on the ground, but enought to make me wish I was down at TV. Are you telling me that I cannot throw out my winter cloths and coats when I finally make the move?

It is a waste of space to keep winter clothes. Tonight we are suppose to have a low of 60 degrees. It gets cool here but never for long periods of time. Ice on car one day and 80 degrees the next.

Yes golfnut, that is Pedro. He is outside. I have his wings trimmed in the spring and he goes out in the garden with me and calls the crows. That picture was taken a few years ago, I keep him in under the deck roof if I am not right with him, but he does love the outside, even during January thaw.

I played golf at 7:45 this morning and I'm not going to kid you , It was chilly...........however I was dressed for it and it didn't bother me. that is until the 4th hole and then I felt pretty silly out there in my long underware....however it is legal , about a month ago I had a collar sewn on so it would be appropriate attire....
