Just got through reading the article about Juan Carlos Chavez executed last night after 18 years in prison. His last meal was a rib-eye steak dinner with the fixing and a dessert. Wonder what Jimmy Ryce's last meal was, and his final days on this earth, having to face the pain and fear and not knowing why, alone without his family to save him.
Hard to believe how this killer was treated. It makes my eyes see red and my stomach churn. A last meal...... This man lived for 18 years after being found guilty of abducting, raping and and dismembering a 9 year old child. Even had a last minute appeal that fortunately was denied. How many appeals did the do-gooders have? How much it cost all of us to house this convicted killer.
Justice was served, but it took too long!!

The wheels of justice turn slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine.

The punishment, though long in coming, was capital.
