not so much free, but, Amazon Prime is about $6.50 a month (also gets you free shipping on almost everything you buy from Amazon) They have 1000's of watch instantly movies in their library. Also, Netflix @ about $8.. a month (for streaming only) and all the movies they offer.

If you don't mind not seeing first run you could do Hulu. Hulu plus gives you more choices but you do pay about $8 or 9 a month.

I too have a Smart TV and am wondering about data usage. Does anybody know if there is a point where the cable company will start charging you for excess data usage due to streaming video?

I have Comcast for Internet and use Netflix and Amazon Prime for movies. I have never been charged extra and I don't believe there is any limit on data.

I do not think there will be a charge yet for video streaming but a few years from now yes. A few months back a federal appeals court struck down an FCC rule that required broadband providers to treat all internet content alike. Cable and phone companies feel Netflix, Amazon, etc. should pay more to transmit content (video, movies). If that happens the cost will be passed on to the consumer.
