I heard that a Friendly's is going into where the Bono's used to be on CR466? Any truth to this? Probably not going to make JohnZ (co-owner of Bruster's) too happy if it is? But then again, there are probably enough ice cream customers in the Villages to go around. This CR466 location also is very close to 31 Flavors? :dontknow:

Yes read it in the newspaper that they will go into Bono's. Isn't Friendlys more a restaurant then an ice cream shop?

Interesting. I made a post to this topic earlier and it disappeared. Didn't even mention the name of our franchise. Weird.....or maybe not weird. Anyway, this is a test post under this topic heading to see what happens.

And T....I'm not worried.

They seem to mainly be a restaurant that serves ice cream? Not familiar with Friendly's though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friendly's

In Pa, around Harrisburg, they are restaurants that serve ice cream.

We moved here from Saratoga Springs, New York and there are lots of Friendly's up there. They serve great breakfast foods and also have really good burgers. It was one of our favorite ice cream places to go to. Friendly's was one of the places we missed when we moved here. Now that they are coming we are going to have a problem because we chose to eat more healthy foods :'( Maybe we can splurge and cheat once a month

Very familiar with Friendly's here in MA. Not bad IC but as anyone knows, the chains are not always the best at IC.

Give me just an IC shop like Brusters any day!

Lots of Friendly's back east. They must be known for their IC because you can buy packaged Friendly's IC in the freezer section of many food stores. Looking forward to their opening in TV.

Ice Cream from the freezer section? Excuse me? Fresh-made is the ticket. As with wine, life is too short to settle for less than the good stuff.

I think Friendly's is more known for the burgers..http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/hamburgersmile1f.gif (http://www.millan.net)

As far as Ice Cream goes..My vote goes to Brusters..Delish...http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/goldstar.gif (http://www.millan.net)

Friendly's is more well known for there icecream in our neck of the woods and I must admit it is really good! Heard so many good things about Brusters (and such sweethearts own it) that I may be forced to switch when I get to TV. Brusters, I dont think you have a thing to worry about. ;)

We've found that Friendly's is a good place to go for a reasonable breakfast, lunch or dinner, and the desserts are not bad either. It's definitely a great place to bring children, as they have kid's meal specials that are a step above drive-thru and more reasonable. Also, at least in NY, they offer a Senior menu - slightly smaller portions for a discounted price. Not gourmet, but that's not what you go there for. We will frequent it for the senior breakfast specials! Check out the menus and specials: http://www.friendlys.com/

Life is too short to have to turn the crank of the IC Maker. I need immediate satisfaction.
