Any one know of ay train guys that would like a place to set up their trains and use them to mentor teen agers. I'm the new Pastor At Calvary Baptist Church in Fruitland Park. I have a room that a train guy or guys can start a club in so the teens of the church can have some hands on stuff instead of the video games that's crashing their brains. I also would like to invite all vets to a special Armed Forces Day we are having an Army Chaplin who is working with the Wounded Warriors. For May 18th. any question call my office at 352-787-7673 Come visit an exciting I:posting:ndependent Baptist Church

I will second that thought. Bogie Shooter is a wealth of (accurate) knowledge for those of us that are newbies. (probably others too)

Pastor, just a couple of gentle suggestions.

1) You may want to take the trolley tour and get to know The Villages a bit. There's around 120,000 or so of us. Any skill, trade, or profession is represented, often with quite a few people. There's a list of clubs updated monthly by the Community Development District which will give you an idea of what the over 2000 clubs are about. Most Villagers are kind hearted and we raise truly monumental amounts of money for local charities and support a wide range of activities in the surrounding communities.

2) I have not seen an exact census of vets, but I suspect there's 20,000 plus of us here. The Lady Lake Legion post is the largest in the world (by membership). If we all showed up for the Armed Forces Day service, we'd probably fill your parking lot (plus most of the streets of Fruitland Park.

Welcome to a totally different scale of thinking of things.
