I am looking for a cat sitter, in your home, for the last week of February. My daughter is coming to visit, along with her neutered, declawed, male sphynx. Dad says "no cats allowed" in the patio villa. Help!

Okay - I'm gonna get flamed - but, tell dad to get over it. For heaven's sake isn't a visit by your daughter more valuable than that rule. Does he an allergy??? If not he is being a crotchety old man.

Ha ha!!! Good one.
I have to ask, though... why doesn't your daughter board her cat at home before visiting?
Otherwise, I suggest Bedtime Tails, who advertise on this forum. But you may need to provide vaccination records.

Redwitch is an excellent cat sitter.

She and the cat are actually flying from Canada to our home in Missouri to stay with us a couple of months while her husband is out of town. We are heading back home March 1 and was trying to rearrange her flight to come here for a few days to enjoy the warm weather before we all return to Missouri. Having Smegol, the grandkitty, in our large MO home works great. Oh well . . . it was a last minute idea. We will try to plan ahead next time.

Hopefully someone will step up to help. Most people who love cats... have one! (They don't always get along with strange cats). Or in my case, have a bird, or else I would be happy to help.
I do recommend Bedtime Tails for the week. Or redwitch, if she takes in pets. Good luck!

I'd offer but my cat truly hates other cats and a declawed kitty wouldn't stand a chance. Personally, though, I'm with the crowd who says your hubby should get over it. This poor cat is bound to be extremely traumatized -- lots of moving around and now is supposed to be away from his people? That's just not right.

I suggest you have your daughter beg Dad to have her cat stay with her. Daughters usually have lots of practice in getting what they want.
