How in the world did my last post about where TV restaurants could find staff end up being moved to the Non-Villages Discussion Forum? That post was all about TV.

Just how does the man behind the curtain make these decisions?

What it means to me is scrolling down the screen each time I come to it, since the first view is all "sticky" messages. I've read 'em once. I'd just as soon they were in another section, I'd prefer to see the really new topics/replies at the first. Not a huge deal, though.

I doubt if TV developers would sell the land needed for a community college in TV. It would probably be somewhere outside of it. I remember driving past a community college near Lake Square Mall in Leesburg on US441? That's about 22 miles from the Villages. Not sure where Lake--Sumter County Community College is in Sumter County?

There are 2 community colleges nearby (so to speak). Lake-Sumter CC, Leesburg, and Central Florida CC in Ocala. CFCC is about a 25 minute drive from TV and so is LSCC.

Z, what does your post have to do with the original post?

Your post was not moved. That's is where it was posted originally.

Bump

moves your topic to the top of the list (due to the new reply on the topic), but only until another later reply moves it down the list

also sometimes called "ttt" (to the top)

hit reply, type the word bump, and click post

You could put any word in the post. Bump just tells people that you aren't saying anything new you just want to put the topic back to the front for others to see.

...nonetheless, reading directions can occasionally save a lot of time... ::) or spare some grief...

Instead of typing "bump" or "ttp" to get the topic to the top of the list again ... why not just type a brief comment on why you want it revitalized? That would be a little more interesting. 024

Golf nut .. you're right, what does this thread have to do with community colleges? You'd make a good topicop. :cop: Much better than Handie who is spending all his free time dancing at Katie Belles.

Golf nut? Check out this post by Boomer BeBack. This was the one about restaurant staffing and the prospect of getting employees from a newly built community college closer to TV. https://www.talkofthevillages.com/smf/index.php/board,312.0.html

Boomer, it is very confusing when you start posting as things fly around and disappear. 024 Only 27 posts, you be a newbie, wait until you see the statistic that you've spent four days on TOTV!!! I think you'll find that everyone is patient and supportive with newbie questions.

If you check the Home page you can tell who is currently online. I see you are currently still on TOTV. Turn off your computer and step away. I sometimes feel like a boomerang, it keeps luring me back.

Step away Boomer, now.
