My new computer has Windows 8. Where can I get some training on Windows 8?

Perhaps you might start here until someone comes along with personal assistance. I used the 'dummies' website and bought a 'dummies' guide at Barnes & Noble - did fine learning on my own - you can, too!

Windows 8 has a tutorial with it. Look around on the page with all the big icons and find the tutorial. You can go back as many times as needed - I found it quite useful.

Getting started tutorials for Windows - Microsoft Windows (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/how-to)
I took a free class at my local Microsoft store but as you don't have one near the villages you could try the above link. I go there when I can't get my hubby's surface to do what I want.

Youtube is a great place to start. We offer on-site training as well.

I like the books called "Visually" in Windows 8.

There's also the school TVLLC, and the computer club. Folks in the club will go out of their way for you as do a lot of folks in this forum.
