Recently my home page started opening to yahoo web site.
I went back into my options in Mozilla Firefox and changed the home page back to the one I prefer.
No problem except when I close Firefox and open again later it has replaced my home page with Yahoo.
I have been unable to find where or how to disable yahoo.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Never had any experience with that issue, but did see this article...

Use Microsoft Explorer instead of firefox.
I fixed this same problem for someone that was using Microsoft Explorer.

I had that happen to me also. It was certainly annoying. I had to switch to Firefox because I couldn't use my bank's website with Explorer anymore on my new laptop. Not sure why since it worked on my old laptop. I personally hate any updates since it usually means I will have no idea what to do.

The explorer team must be slipping they use to have a block on that kind of thing from the competition to Bing.

Try following this link. This should reset Firefox to make it save your settings.
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-fix-preferences-wont-save
If that doesn't work you could re-install Firefox.

I had the same problem and had to resort to restoring my computer software to an earlier set-point date to get rid of it. The Yahoo Toolbar is especially aggravating - to me it's nothing more than malware. I dislike everything Yahoo for that reason.
