My nephew and his wife are going to move near The Villages in about September of this year. They have asked me to look around for an apartment for them and of course I have gone to various website etc. However, this is a gamble as they all say pretty much theirs apartments and townhouse are the best in the area. Has anyone gone through this and willing to share some facts or nightmares of their previous search or rental for extended family. They are really a nice young professional couple and I would love to suggest to them a place that I know would be safe, fairly priced and in a great location. Thank you.

My daughter's first rental here was at The Cove on 441. Nice apartments. Rents are discounted by income. They have a lot of single police officers staying there so it is relatively safe. Nice mix -- singles, couples, kids.
If they can afford it, it might be worth looking at the family villages to see if there are long-term rentals available there.
Good luck in your search.
