Anaheim Kitchen Remodel

We are looking to add a partition wall in our Anaheim CYV.
Basically continuing the breakfast bar wall up to the ceiling or perhaps cabinet top level and having a pass through and adding some cabinets.
We are thinking that by separating the kitchen it will cut down on noise in the living room.
Has anyone done this or know of someone who has?
