I am looking for 3 people to join me in playing cards, hopefully on a weekly or other regular basis. We could always play at my place, or rotate.
Here is where I probably reduce the number of those interested! I want to play a card game called "500", or "500 bid". It is not at all like 500 rummy which kids play. 500 is usually played 2 players to a team, and is similar to bridge, except it is much simpler and easier to learn. There is no "dummy" as there is in bridge [the person who sits out the hand while his partner plays alone against the other 2 players]. I can teach you the basics in a few minutes. It is more of a skill game than most card games, and less luck, but luck of course plays a role
I am living in either Lynnhaven or Summerhill villages. Each are very near Rt 466, and in the western side of the villages, near the high school. The closer you are, the better, if we end up playing regularly.
There are 2 clubs that play 500, and I have gone to each, but one is at the far north and the other at the far south. I will attend each again at times, but I'd like to also play in the atmosphere of having a few friends over. If more than 3 are interested, I guess we could always handle 2 games, since most of us have 2 tables at home. I would not want to go beyond that.
