Has anyone seen this story in the on-line version of The Daily Sun http://www.thevillagesdailysun.com/articles/2007/11/28/villages/villages02.txt?

Surely some of the kindhearted folk at TOTV could look into this. If you know of the outcome of this story let me know and I'll delete the post.

Sad story. We got our dog from the Sumter County Humane Society because the Villages' woman who had him developed Parkinson's Disease and could no longer care for him.

Oh my gosh, so sad. I wish TV would let me have 4 dogs, then I would take it. Hope someone kind and generous will see this post. Thanks, Kathie

I have no doubts that after this heartwarming and heartbreaking story , Benji will find a wonderful home with some kindhearted person. If he hasant already!

I have worked for a shelter for 18 years and when a story like this gets out, the phone starts ringing off the hook, even from other states. I am confident Benji will find his forever home soon.

Mrs. Mueller, I am so sorry for your loss.

I know I would have offered to take Benji but Ms. Mueller was pretty specific that she wanted Benji to be the only pet in the house. Poor guy being in a kennel so long already.

The article about Benji was posted today at Doggie Do Run. I don't think he'll be long without a home. One day I was at DDR and a lady brought a blind rescue dog which she wanted to have adopted. By the time I left, an hour later, someone had adopted the dog.

People are very, very kind, especially dog owners.
