Are all the pools in The Villages heated? We purchased our home in the Village of Duval last June and are coming to visit next week for the first time during the Fall months.

I was told that they are heated to a constant 82 degrees year round. I imagine in the summer they naturally get warmer than that.

I felt like it was about 87 degrees when I went to the Pimlico Family Pool pool last August (2007). We had unheated pools in Palm Harbor, FL, Scottsdale, AZ and Reno, NV; so I got used to warmer water in the summer and can often guess the water temperature fairly well.

Yes, the pools are heated! They are a constant 83 in the winter and in the summer, the sun does it's work. But if it rains in the winter, please allow time for the pools to get back up to their temperature! They work like your air conditioning, they kick on when the temperature falls below the specified temperaure.

Wow! That's awesome!

I lived in south Florida before and once I got acclimated to Florida weather swimming in an unheated pool during the winter months was just too cold
