how to get back secure connection

Need help with getting back our secure wireless connection. We have a surfboard modem and use Comcast for our IP. Have wireless Linksys router.
We have tried going on line for assistance. Rebooted our router, etc. Any simple suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Type 192.168.1.1 into a browser window (IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc) type in the user name and password usually defaults to Administer and Admin. Go to wireless settings and set up a wireless password. Done!

Isn't it usually "Admin" and "password"???

It's almost always admin, Comcast routers are password but the default Linksys is admin as are most others
