Who is good at it around here?
Do they check the frequency rates?

Go to Sarasota driving range and Golf Academy building off Morse.
As to frequency matching of shafts it's done for you by the mfr. It's not like the 50's, 60's and 70's where the each individual shaft had to be checked as a sets shafts are done prior to install. Luck.

The Golf Academy is located near Palmer Ledgends CC, on Buena Vista Blvd.

I'm surprised to see him measuring frequency with the grip on. I've always found it more precise to measure without the grip. I can get variable readings with a gripped club depending on how it is oriented in the clamp, but the variances disappear when measured without the grip.
But his point is well taken. Some shafts are sorted by weight, not frequency. And some use a range of frequencies for a specific flex. It is always good to have the specs checked when you get the clubs. And with forged carbon steel, to have the loft and lie rechecked periodically as they can change with use.

All the manufacturers will be doing it the day before golfest. You can purchase a visit by going to the sarasota driving range. Cost is $50. Then you are supposed to be getting a deal on equipment. You have to select which golf club you want to go with.
