Traveling to Ireland in late April. Landing at Dublin Airport and staying at Mespil Hotel in Dublin.

Anyone know most reasonable method of getting to hotel? Other hints about getting about Dublin for 5 days with no rental car? Reccommended must sees?

Thanks in advance.

According to your hotel website, it is conveniently located near a Aircoach drop off. Aircoach is a bus that travels from the airport to the center of Dublin with stops at a few hotels. Costs about €8 per person.

The website for your hotel also lists several to see, depending on what your interests are.

You can book Aircoach online using this link.

There are busses going to and from just about all parts of the city, and reasonable priced, I never take a Taxi, unless stranded without food and water.

I visited Ireland in the 70's and think it is the most beautiful place. The countryside is outstanding, sooooo green and lush. It was easy to drive around, although its the wrong side of the road, its the right side of the car (if I remember correctly). But there wasn't much traffic and its easy to get around, its a shame not to drive at your leisure and be able to view the small towns and spend time in restaurants and talking to the locals without a bus load of other people around. My suggestion is to be sure to visit the local confectionery's (bakeries) and pubs... Wonderful pastries and wonderful people in the pubs.

You can tell, this Italian girl really loved Ireland. I hope to go back some day!!

Be sure and visit Guinness while in Dublin. Does it ever taste "smooth" there! I would get a taxi if the hotel doesn't offer transportation.

Dublin has some variety of palm tree---I was amazed to see a palm tree in Dublin. Have fun---great place to spend a few days.
