After seven months of house sitting, trying to sell our house in SoFl., we have decided to "let the cards fall," where they may and move now to our new home in Brownwood/Collier.
We check the Village cams, TOTV daily. You guys are having just way too much fun, but Here's the thing.."What's up with the weather up there?" C'mon, has it been this cold every year? 50's, 40's! Down here typically in the 80's .......WT_? I know, "Why are we moving from such great weather? Ask me when I see you..:-)
Meanwhile, Packing, loading and moving out next week. Boots on the ground in TV on Thursday. Hurray! We can't wait. We bought new coats.

Welcome! I was back home last week. I had to borrow a coat as I got rid of mine when I moved to TV...couldn't wait to get back to TV! It was chilly here but there is just something MORE than weather about this place ! Warmer weather is around the corner !

I used to live in S. Florida in Boca Raton. South florida is a tropical climate while central florida is considered sub tropical. Two different weather zones. I have even considered buying a vacation home in South Florida so I can utilize it when we get into those cold spells here in TV. But this has been an unusual winter here in central Florida as well as most of the country. I guess we will just have to wait and see if this type of winter is becoming typical or if it was just an aberration.

I spent 17 years in South Florida and was also concerned about my weather. Did my research, but it turned out much worse than I expected. ( 15 to 20 degrees colder overnight compared to the 8 I anticipated based on average temperatures) However, as stated it has been colder than normal everywhere this year. And it is still better than PA.
But the bottom line is that the lifestyle here far more than makes up for the long pants, sweatshirts and canceled golf.
