Noticed The Villages' flags are at half mast. Anyone know why?

Flags are at half mast due to the passing of former Florida Governor Reubin Askew.

I'm a Floridian, and you guys probably don't remember where you were when Gov. Askew caused people to call you Ms. Askew even though your name is Escue.
Kitty....Escue, not Askew, it's like "rescue". who wants to be called askew, I ask you?
