I have a 2009 Tyger AC electric golf cart with 8- 6volt batteries and would like to add LED running lights. Can you explain to me how to locate a 12V hot wire to connect to.

You will need to get the 12 volts you need from two six volt batteries in series and run your new lights on a separate switch.
The existing lights on that model are 48 V lots and you can not tie into them.
