Well, I'm not snowed in, just stalling. I really need to go grocery shopping. I really hate to go shopping (grocery or otherwise). Visiting TOTV is such a great excuse to not go.

Sorry you're snowed in. Hope all is okay and you find lots of fun, nice things to do til you can come back to sun and fun in Florida.

No snow here but its cold... cold

Going to take care of a 91 year old Dad who's got pneumonia and needs some nursing back to health. I'll take my computer so hopefully it will give me something to do while I'm there. Have a good day and throw some snowballs for me.... Kathie

Thanks Nonie, you're so wonderful. Yes, we allow all the prayers we can get. He's a tough guy though and I'm hoping he'll be tough enough to beat this one also. That's why I give him so much support. At 91, unfortunately, you lose some of that drive but adding my age to his ???, I know I can make up the difference.

Thanks again, will talk to you later.

Kathie,

Hope your Dad makes a quick recovery. You will be in our prayers and thoughts.

Nonie, we shovelled, packed, shovelled, watched the snow fall and the plows sand the road. The trees looked beautiful and the mountains that we could not see, would be all white at this time of the year.

Kathie ~
We will keep your dad and your family in our prayers. You will never regret any time you spend with your parents (I have some great memories of my folks as well). God bless you both!
Back to the thread for a moment, today was my hubby's last day of work so we are both OFFICIALLY RETIRED! We went to a holiday party at the K of C hall near us tonight - in the ice, freezing rain and cold. And to think that last Sunday night we were in the hot tub at the Villages Marriott Towne Suites at 10 pm at night!
13 days and counting till we arrive at TV! See ya all soon!

Trav, thanks so much for the good wishes. Dad is 91 so he lived a long and wonderful life but I still need him longer, and he knows that. He'll move with me to TV so you all will meet him. Congrats on retirement. You'll love it. I reached 3 months, Dec. 1. It is the greatest

HB, as usual, you are the best. Thanks so much for the wishes. Will keep you all informed of status.

Cant wait to move to TV - wish I had Donna's emotions. They are so great...!!!

Love ya all, Kath

Nonie,

Enjoying a hazelnut coffee sitting outside at Panera's in TV beats anything with snow.

I'm sitting here with cold feet after shoveling the sidewalk, and looking forward to my return to TV on Jan 2. Happy New Year.

Hi Nonie,

We live in the Hudson Valley of NY. A very beautiful area.

Am looking at all the snow piled up on our deck, off our bedroom, and think I will not go outside and get a suntan today.

Heard the roads are still slippery so will head out a little later today.

I can just imagine what the supermarkets are like today. Everybody stocking up on toilet paper and everything else.

How is it where you are?

Nonie, it was hot at Doggie Doo Run today so we came home and went for a swim. Oh yes, this thread was about snow, wasn't it. ;) Hahaha.

P.S. The Daily Sun said it was going to be 79 degrees Saturday and 40 on Sunday. Sure hope it was a typo. Otherwise all us TVers trying to set a new kazoo record are going to freeze our :edit: off!

Osh,

I will take 62 and sunny any day! We are still cold, dark, with dirty snow. Pretty depressing. Think I need to sit under some grow lights, my scroogyness is getting worse by the minute.

Hubby started drinking beer at 2:00, funny thing is, he doesnt drink beer! :dontknow:

Osh - it's coming your way. Yesterday we finally got the last of the ice and snow from the last storm melted off. Today the temp has dropped from 47 early this morning to 22 now with 25 mph winds and snow blowing into a whiteout at times. Tomorrow morning is supposed to be -7 windchill. And I don't need anyone telling me how nice it is in TV. My daughter-in-law in Panama City FL was complaining the other day it was just too nice - she was missing some Christmas feel. I offered to trade homes for about 4 months.
