Insurance Coverage

We will be new owners next month and we are having a heck of a time finding insurance coverage for our new home. Problem is we want to rent it out part of the time and be there part of the time. Some of the time it will sit idle.
Has anyone else run into this problem? Any suggestions on an insurance agent?
We need to get the house covered so we can close.
