Are you aware of any dentists in the area that have their own in-house service plan? For example, our dentist up north has a plan that you pay annually upfront which covers 2 visits per year for cleaning and routine treatment. It also includes an additional 10% discount on any needed crowns, bridges, implants, etc. I'm wondering if this is the way to go versus paying into a monthly dental plan. Also, trying to plan ahead for our eventual full-time move to TV. Interested in knowing what many of you do in this regard.

Not sure if this is what you're talking about...when we came down here we established with Laurel Manor Dental offices. They had some kind of system that was like a credit card....you put so much $$$ into it and drew it out with whatever each visit entailed. It's the way they protect themselves from getting "stiffed" from their patients.

I am looking for a new dentist and I stopped in at Sumter Landing Dental Care and they have a plan and gave me a brochure. Not saying that you should go there because of that. I did not like their cavalier attitude as they wanted me to come in at that moment for an exam.
