Is the bond tax deductible like property taxes?

Yes but only the interest you pay which goes down (however slightly) every year. You can get an amortization schedule for your particular district from Carol Thompson (Tax Office) at 352-751-3905. You will need to know your CCD District and Unit number and she can give you a print out for 30 years showing the Principal/interest paid on your respective bond...and the balance!!
