You can go with Century Link, it's not satellite, it's not cable, it uses your telephone line. I've had Century Link for internet and telephone for three years, almost never an outage or problem. We pay $59.99 + tax for the two bundled. We have 10 mbps speed internet and I can remember only one short outage about a year ago. The telephone is unlimited long distance w/caller ID and call block.

For TV we have Directv because of sports. For example I can watch the Orioles and Red Sox this Monday, I never miss the O's home opener. During football season I can watch any game I want. If you're not into sports, and don't need telephone they are advertising right now, TV (Prism) and internet bundled for $89 a month, that's 20 mbps internet speed.

I was considering going with Century Link Prism TV but was hesitate because I heard they had a lot of pixelation or freezing problems, but I now hear that is all behind them. Especially in the areas where I live. My internet service they call 'to the curb', we have no modem, just plug the computer or router directly into the wall jack. The TV they say in those areas is very good. Sunset Point should be in the same situation, we are just a little south off St. Charles.

After looking at the Century Link channel lineup I found they had more channels now in HD than Directv with the Premiere Package. I called them last week and for the best TV package of everything available (all movie channels) plus the telephone and internet (they would upgrade mine from 10 to 20 speed) would cost $189 a month guaranteed for 24 months. At the moment I'm holding off until I find out what happens with NFL Sunday Ticket, the Directv contract runs out after 2014.

Had Brighthouse in DeLand for 23 years. I would call at 6:00 AM with a problem and get a American picking up the phone. At 8:00 AM there was a guy on the pole in front of my house fixing the problem. I love them people. They probably don't pay the Morse family enough money for the Morses to allow them in TV. --Just my opinion.

Has nothing to do with the Morses. Brighthouse always had that portion of Sumter County around Wildwood. All we need to do is complain enough to the county legislators to get the county to contract with only Brighthouse instead of Comcast. It's been done in other locations to push the bad cable provider out.

How do we get Brighthouse to install North of 466A ?

Is it a Brightouse decision or is it the County Supervisors that grant rights?

I have Comcast cable and internet service and have had no problems whatsoever. I'm very satisfied with that company and hope to continue to do business with them for a long time to come. I'm sure Brighthouse is fine, but for me, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. BTW, I live south of 466A and have a choice.

Good for you!! When I don't have any problems with their service I don't have any problems with them either........and no I don't try to fix " not broke" Obviously you haven't enjoyed the pleasant experience of Comcast's customer service when there is a problem, and there will be. I've said before I like the product it's when something go's wrong, and and you get the runaround for many hours and sometime days that you start hating them. Good for them that there isn't another cable company in my area but bad for us, no competition.
So if you aren't paying the extra $4.00/month I would do so before you need service because they now charge $ 60.00 to send a tech to fix their system.

Brighthouse is in the villages. Currently only available south of 466-A. We have had it since moving in almost two years ago. Love the customer service on the rare occasion that it is needed.

Who's permission do the need to bring their services North of 466A? Do they "bundle?"

Mentioning Comcast and Customer Service in the same sentence is an oxymoron. Comcast doesn't have a Custom Service Department. Comcast has a Customer Unhelpfulness Department.

Brighthouse may or may not show up north of 466a. They will have to pull new cable through everyone's back yard. Could be an expensive proposition after the homes are established.

I live south of 466A and I'm considering changing from Comcast to Brighthouse. My stomach starts to churn whenever I have to call Comcast because of their total lack of Customer Service. I have wasted hours and hours with them trying to get my bills straight. I have the triple bundle service and am wondering what does a similar service cost with Brighthouse. I started out paying $99, then it went to $119 and in September, it will bump up again. Anyone know?
