Does anyone have landscapers they can recommend? We need several decorative stone borders built, two islands, and will need a couple of palm trees and about 20 pieces of shrubbery put in. We need it done as soon as possible.

Matt Smith is excellent. He will do as little or as much as you like. Reasonable prices, neat & clean and honest! Been using him for years. 352-561-1999

C&K Lawn Services and Landscaping.
Very good, reasonbable, reliable and responsive.
Ph 352-461-3365 ask for Chet or 352-367-9972 ask for Kevin.
Know them both and use their services.
Good Luck!

Village Palms is the best. They are located on CR 466 near Rolling Acres Road. Their designers are imaginative, and the landscape team does a professional job.

I have (3) suggestions having very recently gone through this process.
In alphabetical order:
a) Custom Scapes
b) McGowan
c) Village Palms
There were others but they did not match up to the above.
Take the above advice ( or ) not, we interviewed many, any of the above will do a first class job. We chose ....... well that's up to you.

Regardless of who you choose please remember to file an ARC. with the Community Standards Department. It is required per our deed Restrictions

Plus get at least 3 bids for the job and then call Seniors against crime ( its listed for your county in the phone book) to see if any of the contractors that you have chose have any complaints filed against them.

Normally the contractor will do that for you...But ask.

yes, however the contractor should do that for you. if they dismiss the idea then do not choose them. there are many....many who get no permits at all. also, make sure that they are registered with the state of florida; most are not. and more often than not they have no insurance at all. there are so many contractors that 'fly under the radar' and are only in business to undercut the other legitimate contractors. price is not the only criteria.

Ask for a certificate of insurance.

Thanks, everyone. We chose Village Palms, after having a horrible experience with Steve Mansfield of Mansfield Landscaping, and being stood up twice by ********* Landscaping and then no return call after leaving several messages. Village Palms was the most professional, and probably one of the more expensive landscapers, but they assured us they would be here if we ever had a problem with it, plus, we liked the work we saw that was done by them.
