I noticed that my sprinkler heads were all full of grass and clogging the heads. I called Stellar (our lawn service) and Chris L and Jesse came out and did an excellent job cleaning out the do-nuts. This company is amazing. Any time I call the girl in the office puts the order through and the team responds. I highly recommend this service for all lawn and shrubs maintenance. Janet Steinbruckner. This is an easy DIY project, unless you have physical limitations.

Of course, this belies the question why you would have to call Stellar to rectify an issue that is easily seen by the crews that come to mow, come to weed, come to trim. I understand having to call about an unseen issue or a question, but something as visible as grass in donuts??? To me, a good lawn service notices things and takes care of them long before the homeowner has to make a call.

Doesn't Stellar charge extra for that service? Or is it part of your lawn service?

yep. agreeing with you Dee. That's a bad call for lawn mntc company with comprehensive service to dumb out on donut maintenance. What are they thinking?

Since "full service" includes weeding and trimming, they should be removing grass from donuts as a matter of course.

zackly. Seems like most businesses try to see what they can get away with. Stellar is very good in most respects and very responsive. This one quirk isn't worth throwing them over, but it is worth giving them H-- over. They'll be better in the long run if you do.

Do any of you know what the OP contract with Stellar said regarding donuts?
So why the negative posts?

Do any of you know what the OP contract with Stellar said regarding donuts?
So why the negative posts?

1. Because Stellar came out and took care of the problem.

2. Because the OP stated Stellar came out and took care of problems promptly when she called, which implied this was not the first call for some issue.

3. Because I don't think OP should be happy that they came and took care of a problem -- she should not have had to call them; it should have been noticed by the crew and reported that work needed to be done.

4. Because I've had to call Stellar too often to come do their job -- they always have done it but I don't think they should be called to do their regular, contracted maintenance.

Companies preforming extra services should be compensated.

Bogie Shooter, I wasn't being negative, I was asking a question. Why are you always so confrontational on this site?

True but if you are paying for this service then why DIY??
