Would like to know if there are any drummers in TV that have a setup in their house, and what you have done for sound mitigation. I've never had this 'problem' before so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thought about a cheap elec kit from Craig's list with headphones.

That would be about it for practice. Unless you want to spend the money to soundproof a room in your house.

One thing you're going to find down here is that for a lot of gigs you have to play real, real, real soft. This especially true of the country clubs. You're going to have the owner or manager coming up to the band all night long telling you that you're too loud. It's a problem in the smaller rec center rooms as well.

I've resorted to playing with rods most of the time.
