Could anyone help me find a tax accountant who is now doing consulting in the villages? Needed for personal tax preperation. Contains out of state rental properties.

Do you need an accountant or just a tax preparer? If its just a schedule E for rental income any tax preparer should be able to handle it. Unfortunately aarp free tax prep does not do Sch. E.

Yes it's just a personal return, but it's more complicated than the AARP people will handle.

Was talking taxes with a guy at the pool today and he has his done by H&R block in Lady Lake. I took the H&R course years ago and was very impressed with them.

If you don't have rental income or a state form to do AARP will be doing taxes free starting in Feb. They handle most of the common returns with Cap gains, div, int etc. even sch. C-EZ. The main location will be at the Truman Rec. Ctr. I did hear of one tax preparer who comes highly recommended and that is Renee Stoffel (Leesburg) I've looked at some very complex work she did for a friend and was most impressed. Prices were very reasonable as well. Not positive on the spelling of her name but can look into it further if req'd. Her business name is Eagle Tax Svc.
