What is the best way to get the yellow pollen off our outdoor cushions? It seems to have settled on everything on our lani including the cushions on our furniture. Is there a good way to wash it off? It gets all over the railing on our birdcage screen, our tables, and all the cushions seems like almost everyday! Ick! :(

I use the upholstery power head on my vac every now and then to clean the cushions. The constant film of dirt and pollen on lanai furniture is why some folks I am told enclose the lanai. They are just tired of cleaning the mess. After 2 years, I can now see their point. The alternative is to keep them covered. Not very attractive and a pain to put them on and take them off all the time. Back home my furniture was not undercover as is a lanai so it got rinsed off with the rain or we hosed it off. It is not that simple to haul the furniture off the lanai to hose off or to bring the hose into the lanai and hose it off in the lanai. Good luck on finding a solution that works for you.

Seems much worse this year than other years. The parking lot near the veterans park actually looked yellow before the heavy rain last week.

We use a leaf blower to get the pollen off.
