We discussed this too on this forum and I called the Sun and they told me this;. The BUILDING and the presses and the land is still owned by Sumter Inc. The business is not. But fortunately (to me anyway) they sold it to a person who keeps the same editorial focus.


I am used to that. I am from Cincinnati, Ohio and we enjoyed The Cincinnati Enquirer.

I look at it as the developer still has the say so but someone else is running the business. I don't care myself as long as the sports section stays good with late scores.

as far as the sports section goes,it's fine to put in the scores and summaries of the games and the occasional feature on noteworthy players,teams,or events, but I feel they overplay the coverage.I'm not talking about the local high school teams but the over 60 softball leagues,etc.Other than the players themselves,families, and friends,I'd guess the average villager doesn't care.For those who say if I don't like it don't read it,you're correct.I don't.
