Looking for recommendations - cable/internet & phone companies

I am a newbie and want to know what recommendations you have for Internet/cable and phone service. I've heard pros and cons for a few. Thank you.

Anything but Comcast. You can find a lot of complaints on TOTV about them.

It also depends on what is available in your area. Where I live my only choices here are Comcast and Satellite Been back and forth been them and both have their issues. Currently back with Comcast and so far they have worked well with us with any issues we have had which are few and recently put a credit on our account for 6 months while we decide if we want to change our package. I just wish we had more choices here :(

Consumer reports rates Brighthouse well ahead of Comcast, although Brighthouse is not available
in all of the villages.
