Two years ago at this time we were boarding a plane in Beijing having flown there from Manila. After flying for about 27 hours our plane landed in Chicago and Jenny Lyn stepped on American soil for the first time in her life. After going through immigration we boarded a flight to Orlando. A couple hours later we landed and after stopping at a Chinese buffet near the airport, we drove to the sales office in LSL and picked up our keys. From there it was on to out new home in Silver Lake.
Jenny is now a permanent resident and will soon have her "condition" removed after which she will pursue citizenship.
It has been a wonderful two years in the greatest place to live in earth.

Pardon my ignorance, but is Jenny Lyn a child? Pet? Woman? I think your story might be a great one if I only knew the context. Good luck anyway!

Sorry, Jenny Lyn is my wife. I met and married her while I was living in the Philippines. After living there for a year we decided that we'd prefer to live here.

:sing: Happy Anniversary Jim and Jenny, many more to come. Don and I are so honored to call you our friends. We have met some amazing people on here and you two are certainly part of that. The added bonus for me of course is you are a former MA resident and we can talk sports and other MA stuff together which is wicked awesome. :) Hope to see you soon.

Happy Anniversary. I met some nice people on the Internet who live or lived in that area of the world. I even received invitations to visit but never took them up on it.

Happy Anniversary! Thinking back over your What's for Dinner posts & pics... did Jenny Lyn teach you how to cook, or did you do that yourself?

Roy and I would like to extend our warm wishes for a very happy second anniversary.
Jim and Jenny are a great couple and Jenny is a sweetheart. They are so lucky to have found each other and we are blessed to have them as friends.
As the greatest musical group in history sang in one of their many songs.............."All You Need is Love."

Happy anniversary Jim & Jenny Lyn. I often wonder what people think of the USA when they arrive. It couldn't be better than with a lifetime partner to live out the rest of her years with. I hope you both have a great time here.

Jenny cooks adobo, bangus and pancit. She also makes rice almost every day.
I usually cook all of the other things. My mother was Italian so it's sort of in my genes.
