not to be confused with our own singles party this saturday night, the 12th, at maybe's home, the official Saturday Night Dance Club (as posted in clubs of the villages) will be having their next dance at captiva on sat april 19! this means there is no bothersome conflict for us as there was in march and we can avail ourselves of a good place to dance and have some fun! let's get a concensus of how many tickets we will need and i will volunteer to purchase them.....$5 byob! music by Vinyl Recall.

MEANWHILE - WE CAN ROCK STEADY and continue our 60s partying - after Bill's 4/12 party --if some want to do this -- for a WOODSTOCK party/dance from 8 - Midnight at Lighthouse Point, Lake Sumter Landing, per their ad. This party/dance is also on tonight, but last night is Sat. Apr. 12...."Dress, feel, breathe the ERA OF THE 60's" ... with their famous Rock Steady Band !

Thanks Jim, I just PM'd her.
We have been selling advance tickets at a few of the mail stations by Captiva.
We will be selling them on Monday, April 14th at the Charlotte Mail Station between
1:00-3:00 PM.

The Saturday Night Dance Club is just a week a way and we are looking forward to another great evening of FUN and DANCING. Remember, it's like Sock Hop and American Bandstand rolled into one.

Where else can you go to listen and dance to a LIVE four piece band, have dessert and coffee with a group of great Villagers for just $5.00!!!!!!!

just a report that the few of us singles who attended the Dance Club saturday night had a great time...even with only one solitary fellow trying to dance with five of us ladies! would be great to have two tables full of singles gals and guys to partake of the great music and fun atmosphere. getting tickets is a bit problematic but was told that if they sell out the next month also, they will be given a bigger room....a few unhappy folks could not get in! will work on getting up a bigger group next time :) may i suggest a couple of tables clearly marked Singles as there may have been a few others there without a partner who could have joined us. :)
