Yippee I Made my Goal of Becoming a Full Member

I wanted to have over 100 posts before the year ended so I could be "promoted" from Member to Full Member. I just passed 101 with time to spare. What's after Full Member? I see a lot of hard work ahead of me!

I have seen people who post that have 50 and still Contributor and not Member status. I didn't even realize the significance up 'status' until someone commented, so now I'm curious. What is the criteria?

I know that I might sound a little cranky, for that I apologize. But why the big concern over 100 posts. I visit TOTV daily and read all the posts that were posted that day. I very seldom reply. I have noticed an awful lot of thread hijacking and frivolous replies. Some posts may seem smart or cute to the poster, but believe me they are not. This is a terrific site for the exchange of information about TV, but some of the posts, i.e. useless polls, could be left out. It has gotten to the point that I even ignore certain contributers because of their constant dribble.

My big question is whether the TOTV needs the posts or just the viewing of all the boards.

Every day, I look at my posting numbers and get very excited about what I contribute to TOTV and to my friends enjoyment, and although some people feel that it is nonsense, frivolous, and not by protocol, too bad.

If we want to have fun, we will. If you don't, then don't look.

If you want to read but not contribute, that's your right, I certainly don't fault you for it nor do I expect you to fault us, who want to have fun. Maybe you should be looking at another way to find out information about TV, this obviously isn't your type of forum.
