hey punkpup, thanks very much,
I don't know why they don't just send this to everyone who's interested, but I never seem to get these notices.

appreciated, happy new year

Boomer, rest assured I do not work for TV. I do not think these prices will stay reduced much longer. The Boomers are just starting to come here. If I didn't have so much tied up in real estate right now, I would try to be buying for investment. Yes, the real estate market stinks right now, but I believe TV will recover well before many other markets. I think this is a great time to buy. You can wait...but you may pay more. TV is an extremely desirable place to live. You buy the lifestyle. In my mind, every day not spent in TV is a waste!! We love it here. We still trek back and forth to Pa, and I hate to be away from here.

samhass,
while TV may well recover before the rest, I don't see prices skyrocketing in the next year or two, more likely stable than up or down, so I'll just bide my time tied into my other plans.

It's not good to try and time the market anyway.
Now is always the best time if it's the right time.
My best time is a year away

Thanks we are looking at houses tomorrow and had not received this from our Villages Realtor. Some of these we looked at in November....still on the market with the same reduced price. Wonder when they will lower again? Our agent told us in early November all these would be definitely gone by the end of November...guess the two hour hold didn't work!!!!

JohnN,

You are very welcome!

I noticed on a previous thread that folks were feeling left out because they hadn't received the monthly Vmail from TV sales department so I vowed that I would share these notices as soon as I received them.

You never know..... maybe your dream home is in a Vmail.

I am an obsessive/compulsive individual and view the New and Pre-Owned homes several times a week. Although TV sales staff may try to convey a sense of urgency to get you to buy right away and it is true that the house you want may actually sell before you've made up your mind it seems to me that more often than not you may find the same homes still available. Just when I think I'm going to miss out on my dream home something else more attractive turns up!

I know what you mean F16 1UB, it's been alternatively raining, freezing, snowing, treacherous footing, driving etc. In the past 5 days I have personally seen at least a half dozen accidents. Luckily most looked like skidding, slippery/slidey fender benders but one was a big old Lincoln Navigator which went head first into a swamp! What a bummer! Poor guy looked totally dejected!

JohnN, we're shooting for spring/summer 2009 but I'm working on presenting the concept of purchasing a turnkey Patio Villa to a group including my parents and a couple of friends which we could rent during high season and use in the off season until we are ready for full time living in TV.

Thanks so much for that link!! If only this was the right time for us. So what do you think the chances are that there will be any deals, this time next year???? We can only hope.

I agree, John. I do not think prices will skyrocket for another 4-5 yrs. Ultimately, I guess anytime you buy is a good time. You're finally here!
