So much for springtime in Vermont. We had two days of "teaser" 70 to 75 degree weather and that rare but welcome sunshine.

We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland......everything is again covered in WHITE. The roads, the roof tops, the lawns, shrubs and trees, the deck and driveway.

Plus spring flooding up in Montpelier and over in N.Y. State plus warnings for our area........due to the high snow pack this winter which still has to thaw and melt........

Ironically, we called in our landscaper/lawn maintenance guy to do a spring cleanup and he promised to come end of this week, when he was here walking the property yesterday. I doubt it now.

Still, although spring is late after a harsh winter up here, it gives us more time to tackle the last of the closets.....our poor garbagemen........we are just tossing a lot of old stuff.

The better stuff we gave to the Salvation Army. Our furniture will go to an auctioneer who buys entire housefuls of furniture......

Will be traveling lightly to Florida.

Also, donating all of my cookbooks and digitalizing my recipe box favorites...........this way I can enlarge them to see on an I-pad or laptop in the kitchen.

Back to "work" although it's making me hungry.

Hang in there! You know we always got a few "teaser" days of warm weather and then it likely cooled off again. I remember even getting snow in 2002 in the middle of May. You want so badly to have warmer weather and Mother Nature just doesn't want to give in. There is one thing you can count on though, it will be warmer in Florida! Happy trails!
